Séance, v.4: Incantations for the Spirits of the February Revolution
begin speech...
Hello and good evening
Thank you all... Thank you all for coming here tonight...
It is good to see you...it is good to see you here now....at this moment...here in Chicago..an important moment
We are living in an important moment..only three days ago we were only a modest opposition and the government seemed omnipotent...and now it, we, and our friends of the left wing who have been borne by the revolution, by the army, by the Russian people, to take this honored place as members of the first government to represent the public...
we must preserve our victory...but how? the answer is clear and simple; we must organize our victory..and to keep it, we must before everything else safe-guard the unity which has brought this victory..our interior quarrels must now disappear..we must be united..to be united and this applies to you, officers and soldiers of the Great Russian Army. Remember that the strength of the army lies in its unity.. preserve this..to show that it will not be easy to over throw the first government from the will of the people...
Comrades have you confidence in me?. I speak from the bottom of my heart . I am ready to die if necessary...Comrades, the representitives of the old regime are in my hands and I couldn’t take it upon my self to let them go..and so I have accepted the offer of the ministry of justice...my first decree is to free all political prisoners with out exception...
